The Coleopterists Society is entirely run by volunteers. It has a Council and a series of Committees to propose and execute activities.
The society publishes the The Coleopterists Bulletin, a fully refereed quarterly professional journal (March, June, September, December). The Society also holds an annual meeting and social gathering during the annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America (EntSoc), as well as a virtual Symposium and Annual General Meeting since 2020.
Individual membership in the society currently costs US $60.00. Membership benefits include:
- An online subscription to the The Coleopterists Bulletin.
- A hard copy subscription costs an additional US $12.00
- Eligibility for reduced page charges when publishing in the Bulletin.
